Lady Gaga slayed the red carpet with understated and elegant makeup, without any bold colours. She only had a slight hint of flesh hue on her eyelids and gray eyeliner. Her dreamy white-blonde updo stood out more, as it resembled Audrey Hepburn's hair for her Breakfast at Tiffany's promotions.

In order to keep the right attention on her, Gaga's makeup artist Sarah Tanno focused on ensuring the star looked soft and rejuvenated. "We didn’t want anything to distract from this special moment," Tanno said.

To achieve Lady Gaga's base makeup, Tanno used Marc Jacobs's newly-launched Shameless Youthful-Look 24H Foundation and the Accomplice Concealer and Touch-Up Stick.

"It has a beautiful creamy finish," she said. After that, Tanno enhanced Gaga's cheeks with the Air Blush in Lush & Libido to get that much-loved natural flush, and paired with the Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in Slow Burn glossed onto her lips. To get the old-glamour, Audrey Hepburn vibe, she lined Gaga's lids with the blueish gray Fineliner in Steel (etto)

With the help of TRESemmé Global Stylist Justine Marjan, Graham's sleek and chic chignon bun was complemented with mini Jennifer Behr's velvet ribbons that resembled small butterflies. She looked elegant with understated makeup, but she did wear a thick winged liner that put her entire look together.

3. Amandla Stenberg

With a fresh-faced makeup, Stenberg rocked old Hollywood style finger waves with cornrows parted at one side, in which the single finger curl was done in under two hours.

The actress's entire look reminds one of a "Medusa meets The Roaring ’20s" theme, as she pulled back her hair in a low bun, and the top of her hair giving snake vibes.

4. Charlize Theron

Never one to disappoint, the elegant and glamorous actress definitely stood out as she debuted her new brown hair and bold red lip that got the whole town talking.

Sporting an edgy yet sophisticated look, Theron's surprisingly wearable look is one to cop after!

The crowd favourite pink was spotted on many of the celebrities attending the show, including Grammy award-winner Kacey Musgraves.

Her glow was enhanced with Pat McGrath's Skin Fetish Highlighter + Balm Duo in Nude on the singer's cheeks. As usual, Musgraves' dreamy look had her eyes as the focal point, as she spots glossy lips, glittering eyeshadow, and a fabulous contour.

Debuting a new hair colour on the red carpet, the Game of Thrones actress was spotted in a fresh and pretty, flushed pink face. She definitely rocked one of the best Oscars red carpet makeup.

Her gelled down, clean and understated locks was complemented with her new sleek, short brunette hairdo and a gentle curl. The short and sleek chestnut brown bob definitely made a head-turning entrance previously taken place by the blonde hair she had been donning for the better part of a year.

Making a return to her roots for the big night, the natural brunette had been sporting an ice-blonde wig since the first season of the HBO show, and then dyed her brown hair blonde in 2017.

The actress had previously chopped off her locks into a short, chin-grazing bob complete with bangs before the show, in order to prepare for her role in the Solo: A Star Wars Story movie. Ever the hair chameleon, she also went way shorter with a full-on pixie cut back in September 2018.
