Rumours of Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde dating have been circulating for quite some time, after the two were spotted out and about in Manila together on several instances.
The two have been denying the rumours for months. Back in December 2018, Maine said that she and her Jack Em Popoy costar were just "friends".
But that was then and this is now, and Arjo set the record straight at a press conference for his movie Tol.
Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde Dating
When asked directly if he and Maine are a couple, Arjo replied saying that though things aren't official yet, they're "exclusively dating."
"I'm at my happiest right now," he said.
Reporters asked him what he liked the most about Maine, to which he replied: "Everything... She makes me laugh all the time."

But not everyone's happy over ArDub
Not all of Maine's fans are happy about the Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde dating news, as many of her fans are heavily invested in the AlDub onscreen romance that propelled her to fame.
Some of Maine's fans have previously accused Arjo and his sister Ria of using Maine, which the latter promptly shot down on Twitter, saying, "Just stop this nonsense and let us all do better instead."
I would appreciate if you'll show some respect not just to our family but to theirs as well. Just stop this nonsense and let us all do better instead. They get projects because of their talent, not because of any other reasons. Once and for all let's give credit to whom its due. — Maine Mendoza (@mainedcm) January 20, 2019
While many of Maine's fans expressed excitement at these news, some didn't feel so happy for the new lovebirds.

At the Tol press conference, Arjo addressed the critics of his relationship with Maine to "do it to me in person" so he could fight back.
"I don’t know how to get mad. I don’t know how to disrespect people. I despise disrespectful people," he said. "If they disrespect me, it’s fine... But for my family to get affected, for Maine to be disrespected like anything, that’s not okay with me."
Aldub fans, we're gonna let you finish, but there's a huge difference between an onscreen romance built for entertainment and the real thing. Let's all be happy that Maine has found someone who's willing to fight for her, in spite of all their naysayers! Team #ArDub FTW!
