Louis Vuitton Glow In The Dark Bag Has Taken Over The Internet

This year will be one of experiments, starting first with the Louis Vuitton glow in the dark bag that has everybody losing their minds

Fashion is an experimental zone. The more you push the envelope, the better the result. And who better to know it all too well than Louis Vuitton men's creative director, Virgil Abloh. Last year he stunned fashion critics with his fresh take on the luxe brand and this year again, he added his own spin to create the Louis Vuitton glow in the dark bag.

The famous designer sent glowing Keepalls down the runway during his second presentation for the brand in Paris.

For years, customers have flocked to the luxury lifestyle brand to get their hands on its trademarked monogram classic leather bags. Only this time, they can get their hands on its glow in the dark version, especially Keepalls.

And now, the newly-minted menswear creative director, Virgil Abloh, has introduce something on the runway that will take your breath away: the Louis Vuitton glow in the dark bag.

It has got the Internet buzzing with excitement over its entirely new, futuristic take on the classic pattern, in which a series of fibre-optic lights are seen lighting up the bags. Certainly, the glaring contrast between the glowing bags, along with lit up sneakers, and the all grey and black outfits donned by the cool model squad has given us an insight into the mind of a visionary genius.

This has gotten the Internet all shook up as well. With even big names such as Bella Hadid displaying her fondness for the Louis Vuitton glow in the dark bag on her Instagram Stories.

Guaranteed to be a hit-maker, we still do not know crucial details of the bags such as the retail price, or when they will be officially sold to the public. Although it is predicted to be reportedly out in fall.

Abloh has apparently been working his magic on Louis Vuitton. With his first collection already selling out, despite only being available at selected few pop-up spots, according to WWD. In fact, Abloh’s first batch of offerings at a Tokyo pop-up previously sold 30 percent faster than the exclusive Supreme collaboration, Louis Vuitton chief executive officer Michael Burke told WWD.

It is safe to assume that the fibre-optic lights will be sufficient to trigger similar demand for the Louis Vuitton glow in the dark bag.

Seen at shows like Prabal Gurung and Sies Marjan, apparently cargo pants are next, which can be worn either wide-legged or slim. A similar style by RE/DONE is this set of camo-inspired cargo pants.
