Hello Kitty's Converse Collaboration Is Pure Purrfection!
Hello Kitty's Converse collaboration puts the beloved character at the forefront of some of the shoe company's most famous designs.
If you are a Hello Kitty fan and love to sport everything that has Sanrio's star pupil's face on it, then you are going to love Hello Kitty's Converse collaboration. The iconic British cartoon character will soon be seen on the iconic millennial shoe.
Converse is all set for the global launch of the Hello Kitty shoe and apparels, come August 16.
The beloved character who has managed to maintain a steady mass appeal since she was first created in 1974, will be seen at the forefront of Converses' designs.
But Kitty White won't be alone.
Your favourite kitty will be all over Converses' classic Chuck Taylor All Star, Chuck 70 and One Star sneakers. This means you will get her in both high and low tops.
Fortunately for all Hello Kitty lovers, the collaboration stays true to the cartoon's aesthetic. So there is lots of whites, reds, pinks and cute bows — just as girly as the feline cartoon herself.
And what's even more purr-rect— the launch will also include Kitty White-printed crossbody bags designed specially to match the kicks perfectly.
Apart from appearing on various Converse shoes herself, the famous cartoon character will also be accompanied by her friends on the shoe company's popular Chuck Taylors.
The collection will be available for kids as well as Hello Kitty-loving adults. So expect lots of fans sporting these cool merchandises as soon as the collab drops in the market.
And if you wanted a little more Kitty in your wardrobe, Converse has done that work for you too. The collection also includes apparel and accessories including pullover hoodies, tees, mini duffel bags, pins as well as crossbody bags.
As for pricing, while you can't put a price on happiness, you can on a Hello Kitty Converse. You can buy the Hello Kitty shoes for anything between S$68.82 and $137.64. And, the accessories and apparels can range anything between S$48.18 and $103.23.
Incidentally, this is not the first time Hello Kitty has collaborated with another company.
Last year, Puma turned the cutesy feminine character into a street style icon. The two companies, Puma and Sanrio collaborated to produce shoes with the characters face on them, just in time for Valentine's Day.
The limited edition capsule collection also included low-tops, T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, as well as backpacks.
Another company that took Hello Kitty to the millennials was high-street fashion brand ASOS. The ASOS x Hello Kitty collection included 40 products that were half-streetwear and half gift-friendly. It had colour-blocked crewneck sweatshirts as well as sequinned party dresses among other items.
This collection--by the way-- is still available on ASOS.
There is already a huge buzz about this collection drop in Singapore and most South Asian countries where Hello Kitty enjoys a huge fan following. So grab a piece of Kitty White at the Sanrio and Converse's websites, or at any outlet.
We can't wait because this is so purrfect!
