The highly anticipated film has generated a lot of hype, not only because of it’s star-studded cast, but also because it’s the first major Hollywood film in 25 years to have Asian Americans in the lead role.
The film was adapted from the best-selling book of the same name written by Kevin Kwan.
It talks about an Asian American from New York who meets her boyfriend, Nick’s family for the first time. Little does she know that he’s from a high-profile family in Singapore, and is one of the country’s most-eligible bachelors.

The film stars Constance Wu in the leading role, opposite up-and-coming actor Henry Golding. It also stars Michelle Yeoh, Ken Jeong, and rapper Awkwafina.
