How To Look Like Constance Wu
Wu was nominated with the cast of Crazy Rich Asians for Best Picture – Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes and individually for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical. She was competing against big names like Emily Blunt (Mary Poppins Returns), and Charlize Theron (Tully) for the second award.
She may not have taken the golden globe home, but she easily won on the red carpet.
She shone in her Vera Wang beautiful nude bodice and tulle skirt combo cinched at the waist with an orange velvet ribbon. And paired with a simple diamond necklace around her neck.
Not forgetting her minimal makeup look, it was her classic beauty look that stole the show. She kept her soft makeup to a minimum with a romantic look featuring dewy and radiant skin. Her dreamy braid hairstyle went along perfectly with the understated makeup.
Makeup Products You Can Use To Cop Wu’s Look
Donning a cascading romantic braid with the essence of a fairytale, enchanted forest feel, Wu opted to keep the makeup clean and healthy with glowing skin, thick lashes, and a healthy blush.
The Constance Wu Interview showed the makeup artist prepping Wu’s skin with the Shisedo’s Refreshing Cleansing Water. She followed it up with a sheet mask, serum (Bio Performance Glow Revival Serum), a face cream, and an eye cream. Once skin was prepped to perfection, the Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation was applied, and added a touch of concealer to Wu’s nose and cheeks.
To warm up Wu’s skin and add a hint of colour, the brand’s Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush in shades 3 and 4 were mixed. For the lips, she used the Visionary Gel Lipstick in Streaming Mauve. As for Wu’s romantic eye makeup, she used the champagne-coloured Aura Dew in shade 2 on her lids, which is a multipurpose product that can be used on the cheeks, eyes, and cupid’s bow.
Finally, Wu’s fluffy lashes were coated with a yet to be released mascara from the brand, the Controlled Chaos Mascara Ink in Black.
