1. Start With Micellar Water

Gray first cleanses her whole face with micellar water. Then follows up with couple drops of serum or face oil, while not forgetting to rub her neck too.

“Usually I like to use micellar water to cleanse my face,” she says. Adding, “It’s quick, it’s easy, and when you’re backstage, you sometimes don’t have access to a sink.”

2. Use A Good Eye Cream

Next, Gray uses a hardworking, mint-tinted eye cream to overcome redness and cover skin imperfections.

"I love an eye cream that has a green tint because I just feel like you hit two birds with one stone. I like to use it around my nose and places [that get] dry and red because the green helps combat that redness," she says in the video.

3. Do Not Forget Lip Balm

Interestingly, the beauty queen has been using the same lip balm since she was in high school, namely good ol' Paw Paw Ointment.

4. Invest In A Good Primer And Foundation

Gray does not forget the power of a good primer. "I love the Fenty Primer, just because I feel like it's moisturising. Just a few pumps, and then drag it around the face," she says.

"For foundation, I love the NARS Radiant Foundation, just because it has that really natural finish," said the beauty queen, as she dabbed across her face, working from the center outwards.

"I don't like when I have foundation all the way up here, because then it does not blend into your face," she says, as she points to her forehead area.

5. Conceal And Prep Eyes

"For concealer, I also love the NARS Radiant Concealer, this is in ginger. And I like to really aim towards just correcting what needs to be corrected again, and try and be minimal with the product," Gray says.

After applying the concealer, she follows up with the Huda Beauty Pound Cake. She sweeps it underneath the eyes to help catch the fallout from her eyeshadow. She follows up by demonstrating how she did her eye makeup.

"I have quite a small lid, and I have quite an almond eye, so I really like to accentuate it and bring the shadows out. So the first thing I like to do is I like to take a champagne-y highlight colour that's not too shimmery. I like to drag that on my brow bone. and this is an eyebrow palette that is really affordable," she says, as she used her Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette.

"And I just take it, and I start to map out the shape of where I want my shadows to go, so I kind of do a straight line out to start my feline slant," she says.

In this Catriona Gray Vogue shoot she then pops on the sparkle with indie brand Juvia’s Place's Masquerade Palette.

“[It has] some crazy colours, but I love it. If ever I want to play with a pink or a blue, it’s there, but usually I gravitate towards these,” she says, pointing to the three neutral rust hues, and using her brush to mix together to create a bronz-y finish on the lids.

Gray naturally prefers neutral shades, as she combines two earthy colours from the eyebrow palette again, and works in a darker shadow into the outer corner. She demonstrated the same in this now-famous Catriona Gray Vogue shoot.

"So for the base of my shimmer, I use it whenever, this is the NARS Velvet Shadow Stick, just all over my lid. I just find that the shadow stays longer when I use this," she says, as she blends out the edges with a fluffy brush.

"This is the Urban Decay 24/7 Liner to accentuate my lash line. It's like the base of my liquid, as I feel like, when I go in straight with liquid, it's so stressful, because once it's on, it's on," Gray explains, as she worked the eyeliner.

Next, she follows up with an "extra oomph of sparkle" with her favourite Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Bronzed Bell. She does this just over where she applied the gold, which she used in both her national pageant and in Miss Universe.

"I always like to keep revisiting where I laid down the shadow in the first place, just because, you know when you add different products, you can tend to rub it away, or layer on top of it. So just re-intensifying it," she says.

6. Elevate Your Eye Further

"It's time for eyeliner, this is the only black that I use in the whole look. And I'm just going across where I laid down my brown eyeliner," Gray says, while applying her black eyeliner.

She then follows up with prepping her eyelashes with a good eyelash curler, which she advises that "you shouldn't curl too much if you're putting false eyelashes, as otherwise your lashes are gonna go backwards."

To further elevate her eye makeup, she uses her trusty Maybelline Mascara to give her lashes a good coat, along with fake lashes.

"I just have these pair of three lashes by Artisan Pro. So I am a fan of wispy natural lashes, and if I wanna go bolder, I'll use two lashes on top of each other, put on a good amount of glue, keep it, let it dry. [blows] Wave it around, whatever works for you," she says.

"And then once it's almost ready to apply, I'm going to reapply just on the corners, just for that extra security. Because I always find when a lash starts to budge, it'll come off either in the corner or on the side. I'm gonna put it as close to the lash line as possible. Bam. So those are the first layer of lashes. I'm gonna go in with a second, just because this is my pageant glam," she adds.

As Gray puts on some mascara to make her eye makeup pop, she ensures her fake lashes sit well with her natural lashes. She continues to curl them, while making sure that her inner lashes are "nice and lifted."

7. Finish Up Your Eye Makeup

"Time to dust off my fallout powder. I like to do this with a sheer powder, [namely] the Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Powder. I kind of like it when my under eye has a little bit of a glow, or like, a brightness to it, makes sense? So I just took a little bit of product, and then I'm just there swiping the undereye area," she notes.

Next, she goes on to contouring in this now-famous Catriona Gray Vogue shoot.

"I like to go in with a highlight down the center of my nose, and so I'm just taking it on a little, small fluffy brush, and then I just drag a little down my nose. Then I'm going in with my handy eyebrow palette, but I will use it to contour my nose," Gray says. This, while taking a small, angled brush to help deepen the shape of her eyes and fake definition, as she defines her eye more by taking it up into the brow.

"I have my crazy looking blush palette here. Gingerly, which is like this deep peach, and Peachykeen, they're both by MAC. My favourite part, aside from shimmer, is more shimmer obviously, so I use a Laura Mercier palette for highlighter, and mix these two colours here. It's like a pink and a soft gold, and then I'm just brushing the highlight almost near my eyes," says the Miss Universe.

"Another highlight that I really love is the Fenty Diamond Bomb. It is quite a silvery finish, which [is great] if you have olive skin like me. It really blends in and [is] sheer," Gray says, dabbing with her finger, and over her initial highlight on her cheekbone.

8. Work The Eyebrows

"Eyebrows are a love-hate relationship. I like the fluffy brow look, so I'm gonna go in with my darker pencil, and I'm just gonna follow the shape that I have. And then, I always find even with eyeshadow, start off light, and then once you've mapped out the shape, and exactly know where you wanna go, then make it darker.

"I'm going in with my second colour, which is the lighter colour. And we're gonna do brush-like strokes, or hair-like strokes, just because I want it to look natural. One of my favourite products for brows, is this [one by] K-Palette. It just adds a different little touch of dimension," she says, in this now-famous Catriona Gray Vogue shoot.

As Gray has long eyebrow hairs, she also used the Duo Eyelash Glue to ensure her brows stay all day and match up well. This Catriona Gray Vogue shoot revealed quite a few well-kept secrets. This one being our favourite!

9. Maximise Look With Lipliner And Lipstick

"I like to use a lip liner, no matter what lipstick colour I'm using. I'm gonna give you guys two lip options. If you're someone who likes a more natural lip, this is something that you could definitely do. This is the colour that I actually wore for my nationals in the Philippines. It's called Crown," Gray continues.

"And if it's looking a little bit crazy, if you can't work a brown lip, I take a small amount of a red," she says.

"It just makes it look a little bit more fresh, more youthful," she continues. This, as she pops on the red to add a little bit of something, a little bit of colour.

"I'm gonna show you guys the red lip that I used for coronation, for Miss Universe. This is Stunna by Fenty," Gray ended with her showing off her proud, red lip, as she took off her previous, 90s-supermodel nude lip look.

She then finishes off her entire makeup look with the last step using a setting spray.

So there you have it. The Catriona Gray Vogue shoot reveals just how the gorgeous 25-year-old Filipino-Australian achieved her winning look in just 10 minutes.
