C3 Anime Festival Asia: What To Expect At The Biggest Japanese Pop Culture Event In Southeast Asia

Southeast Asia's biggest and most prestigious Japanese pop culture is back! On November 30 to December 2, the C3 Anime Festival Asia will be taking over Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing three amazing days of exclusive content and unique experiences direct from Japan!

Here's what you can look forward to at the C3 Anime Festival Asia in Singapore
1. Meeting fellow anime enthusiasts

C3 Anime Festival Asia mounts events all around the region. Over the past year, the festival drew in around 400,000 attendees across four events all over Asia (96,000 in Singapore, 200,000 in Hong Kong, 50,200 in Tokyo, and 52,500 in Jakarta). And with tickets selling fast, it looks like the 2018 edition will be the festival's biggest yet.

2. Your favourite anisong acts

The I Love Anisong 2018 concert is one of the most-anticipated Japanese music events in the region, with fans from all over the world flying to Singapore to catch their favourite anisong acts direct from Japan. This year's concert will feature new acts and long-time favourites. From the official press kit:

"Performing in Singapore for the first time are Tielle&Gemie from SawanoHiroyuki[nZk], SPYAIR, Erii Yamazaki, and YURiKA on Friday. TrySail, EARPHONES, KISIDAKYODAN AND THE AKEBOSIROCKETS and Real Akiba Boyz as the opening act will also be performing for the very first time at I Love Anisong on Saturday.

Making a triumphant return to the ILA stage are Shiena Nishizawa on Friday, Suzuko Mimori on Saturday, and angela, GARNiDELiA, May’n, and nano during our 10th Anniversary Night on Sunday!"

3. "A galaxy" of star cosplayers

Star cosplayers from all around the region will be embodying your favourite anime, manga, light novel, and video game characters at the C3 Anime Festival Asia. Some of the cosplayers include Baozi & Hana (China), Siutao (Hong Kong), Hakken (Malaysia), Angie (Malaysia), Ying Tze (Malaysia), and KANAME☆ (Japan).

The festival will also have signing sessions and high-touch events.

4. Your chance to show off your cosplay skills

The C3 Anime Festival Asia will also be the venue for the World Cosplay Summit 2018 Singapore Preliminaries. Winners at the prelimenaries will be flying to Nagoya in August 2019 to battle with the world's best cosplayers at the World Cosplay Summit. Now's your time to shine!
