If you're a beauty junkie, you best know that MAC Cosmetic lipsticks are the best when it comes it a red lip. From Ruby Woo, to Russian Red, and to Lady Danger, there is a lot to choose from.

Only this time, we tried the powder kiss formula and if you love yourself a bright matte lip, your best bet is the shade Style Shocked. It works with ever Asian skin tone and will glam up your festive look in no time.

2. Kat Von D Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick | S$30

This particular range by Kat Von D is weightless and super-creamy, just as it claims. Plus, its highly pigmented and will last you a minimum of eight hours, if not more.

Its quite smooth to apply and given that it is made with spherical pigments and nourishing macadamia oil, its also nourishing. We recommend the shade Underage Red

3. Pat McGrath Luxetrance Lipstick | S$59

Yes, this is a little pricey. But the colour payoff, the texture and the crazy shade range makes this luxetrance collection a great buy. Pat McGrath has give us Asian girls enough reds to choose from, and the luxe formula makes it worth every dollar.

This formulation contains water lily extract and so is hydrating and has protecting properties. We recommend Apricult for all the warm tone gals and Psycho Candy for those will cool undertones

4. Nudestix Intense Matte Lip & Cheek Pencil | S$39

For the busy girl on the go, a lipstick that can also be worn as a cheek tint is literally god sent. And if you have one that gives a great colour pay off and is smooth, kiss-proof, and long-wearing, there is nothing like it.

Although this is a matte lipstick, it won't dry out your cheeks, don't worry we've tested this. We recommend the shade Stiletto for the perfect red pout.

5. Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour | S$42

This is a soft matte option—for those in the market for this formulation—that has a luxe texture and great colour pay off. Yes, like most other Bobbi Brown products, this one is also on the higher-end of the price spectrum, but its worth your money.

After all, Christmas comes one and if you want the best lipstick brand in the world, there is no harm in spending wisely on a red pout (beauty junkies will relate). We recommend the shade Sunset for that perfect red festive pout.

6. Guerlain Kiss Kiss Fall 2018 | S$52

Again, a little bit pricey but Guerlain cosmetics is known for its high-quality products and their lipsticks are no different. This particular collection is limited-edition, but available on Sephora. It has a plumping formula as well as a highly-intense colour coverage, so you're sorted with the pay off.

We recommend the shade Rouge Kiss for a bright Living coral-esque look so you can ring in the festivities with the latest colour of the year.

For the nature lovers and those strict with their natural skincare routine, the Origins Blooming Bold lipsticks is a good buy. It is paraben-free, full-coverage, and infused with crushed petals, repurposed flower waxes, flower honey, and essential oils.

We highly recommend the shade Dahlia Diva for that rich, red velvety pout.
